Christine discovered her passion for birth over twenty-six years ago, with the transformative experience of the birth of her third child. While pursuing careers in editing and administration, she also spent 16 years homeschooling her children. She decided to begin her journey as a full-time doula in 2017 and certified as a labour and birth doula with Doula Canada. Since then, she has also completed her childbirth educator certification through BirthWorks International, and is on her way to certification as a lactation counsellor with Childbirth International.
Living in a small community with limited options for the families she works with, Christine’s focus on excellence has led her to take additional training in physiological and holistic support, and in supporting pregnancy after loss and VBAC.
Christine believes that creating relationships, sharing knowledge, showing compassion, and bringing a gentle, caring spirit to the families she works with makes a difference –not just now but for the future as well.
