Terms of Service

 We use WooCommerce to manage purchases and donations. You may be asked to provide billing information, including your name, address, and payment details. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and/or PayPal. All sensitive payment data is encrypted, securely handled, and stored by our third-party payment processors in compliance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards). For one-time transactions, we do not store your full credit card information on our servers. 

If you choose recurring payments—such as a recurring donation, or installment payment plans for certification and/or workshop fees (e.g., through SUMO Payment Plans), or membership—your payment method will be securely saved and stored by the payment processor (Stripe or PayPal) in a tokenized format, to allow us to do the scheduled billing and to charge you at the agreed intervals.

• Recurring Donations: You authorize us to charge your payment method at the specified intervals you chose until you cancel. All donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes. You may cancel future recurring donations at any time via your donor account or contact us. We do not offer refunds on past donations.
• Recurring Membership Fees: You may cancel at any time through your account or by contacting us. If canceled, no future charges will be made. Previous charges are non-refundable. (To stay in good standing as a Certified BirthWorks Professional and use professional BirthWorks credentials, you must pay regular membership, which can be set up as recurring payments, or you can pay membership fees as they occur, each as a one-time transaction.)
• Recurring Certification or Workshop Payments: These payment plans are non-cancellable and non-refundable, as they secure your space in time-sensitive or limited-enrollment programs. By enrolling, you agree to complete the payment plan in full, regardless of participation or completion status. To earn certification status, all payments on workshop and/or certification plan(s) must be made in full before being granted or using professional credentials.

By submitting any payment, you agree to these terms and authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your selected payment method accordingly. All payments for our services are subject to the terms outlined in agreements, and we reserve the right to suspend services for non-payment.
