Dr. Horatio (Raysh) Daub, MD, MPH, received his first degree in Civil Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and went on to earn his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, USA. He then completed a residency in Family Medicine at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, USA. He later received a Master's in Public Health at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, USA. He practiced as a Family Physician for 34 years, and his work initially included obstetric care. He believes that preventive and lifestyle medicine both require more emphasis today to change the US "disease care" system to a true health and wellness system, and he believes the same is true for many countries.
Raysh was awarded BirthWorks' Man of the Year 2025! He has offered extraordinary support in many ways, especially as a generous donor, to BirthWorks for decades. He played a key role as Treasurer on our Board of Directors. For has often offered expert medical knowledge to enhance our curriculum and authored varied blogs. Now, he is a Medical Advisor on our Board of Advisors, contributing in several ways, including updates to BirthWorks' Common Sense Nutrition program. We express deep gratitude for Raysh's relentless commitment and ongoing belief in BirthWorks' value and for bringing an important medical perspective to this work.
